FORK-ALERT™ is revolutionising the forklift industry with its innovative use of infrared technology to warn pedestrians or other vehicles that a forklift is in the immediate vicinity.
An infrared signal is transmitted from the forklift-mounted beacon to sensors that are placed strategically around the site (typically in “blind spots” and recognised danger areas). When the sensors detect a signal from the forklift beacon, warning lights and/or audible alarms and/or physical barriers are activated, alerting pedestrians and dramatically reducing the chance of a workplace accident.
